Our 20ft and 40ft Open Top Shipping Containers are designed for cargo that is oversized, unusually shaped or difficult to load through standard container doors. The open roof design provides convenient top access, allowing heavy or bulky goods to be loaded using cranes, lifting equipment or other suitable machinery. These containers are widely suited to Australian construction, mining, engineering, manufacturing, agriculture, freight and industrial applications. The 20ft format is useful where a more compact container is required, while the 40ft option provides greater internal capacity for larger quantities of cargo. Ideal for Heavy and Oversized Cargo Open Top containers can be used for transporting or storing: Heavy machinery and equipment Pipes and steel products Timber and building materials Scrap metal and recyclable materials Agricultural equipment Industrial components Engineering products Large or irregularly shaped cargo The removable or open roof makes it easier to load cargo that cannot be safely positioned through conventional container doors. 20ft and 40ft Options 20ft Open Top Container A practical choice for heavy or oversized cargo where a shorter container is preferred. It is suitable for construction sites, workshops, engineering projects and general industrial use. 40ft Open Top Container Provides additional length and internal capacity for larger loads, making it suitable for major construction projects, industrial operations, machinery transport and high-volume cargo requirements. Strong Steel Construction Both sizes are manufactured around a robust steel container frame and are designed for demanding cargo-handling environments. Depending on availability, containers may be offered as new, one-trip, used, wind and watertight or cargo-worthy units. Open Top containers can be used with suitable tarpaulin covers where required to provide protection over the cargo while retaining the ability to load from above. Delivery Across Australia Delivery options are available for suitable locations throughout Australia, subject to container availability, transport requirements and site access.
